I was born in Ashington, Northumberland and my love of cars came at an early age, helping my Dad when I was just 9-years-old.
At the age of 16 I started an apprenticeship, working my way upto supervisor and finally manager by the age of 27. I then realised that I preferred hands-on work - "getting my hands dirty" - and so I returned to the spanners!
At the age of 28, I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer - an event which would be life-changing to anyone - but thankfully I had many things in my life on which I could focus myself.
Thanks to the staff at Clatter Bridge and Arrowe Park hospitals I made a full recovery.
I couldn't have asked for better support and I wish everyone who helped me the very best indeed!
